Architectural & Interior Designer | Multidisciplinary Creative
Agnė Šumskytė is an Architectural Designer with a multidisciplinary background in architecture, fine arts, and fashion. Born and raised in Lithuania, she developed an early passion for design through formal training in visual arts, studying at the Antanas Martinaitis School of Arts and later at the Kaunas Art Gymnasium, where she specialised in textile and fashion design.
This early education shaped her sensitivity to materiality, composition, and form—principles that continue to inform her architectural work today.
After moving to New Zealand, Agnė expanded her creative practice while completing her architectural degrees. Alongside her studies, she worked as a model, stylist, and freelance designer, gaining hands-on experience in working with clients, understanding personal expression, and translating ideas into tangible outcomes.
She currently works as an Architectural Designer/Technician at Babbage Consultants, contributing to residential, education, and commercial projects across New Zealand. Her work spans master planning, resource and building consent documentation, 3D modelling, and interior detailing, combining technical precision with a strong design-led approach.
Agnė is particularly interested in how spatial design, materiality, and form influence human experience, creating environments that are both functional and emotionally engaging.
Her work sits at the intersection of architecture, art, and fashion—where spatial thinking meets material exploration and human experience.
